” This summer’s sporting schedule is not as busy as last year but thankfully we have Love Island to fall back on! For those of you not familiar with Love Island, the basic premise of the show sees a group of sexy singles go to a villa in Spain, where they have to ‘couple up’ with each other in order to stay in the game.

The first episode on ITV2 kicks off tonight at 9pm and one participant on the show is boxer Tommy Fury, the younger brother of former heavyweight champ Tyson Fury.
Tommy, 20, boasts a record of 2-0 but will spend this summer cracking on with the ladies on the show and we’re sure Tyson will have one or two things to say about his little bro too. Obviously Tommy has the time to get back into boxing but he’s hardly the only one to have ditched a promising career in sport for showbiz.

However, Jamie’s love of partying took hold and a potential career never materialised but he now has his own business and is reportedly heir to the McVities Biscuits fortune, so every cloud and all that. He did get to fulfil a lifelong dream of playing at the home of English rugby Twickenham in a Rugby Aid for Heroes charity match in September 2015 – although the game saw Jamie hospitalised after being brutally tackled by former New Zealand international Brad Thorn. Ashley Cain – Ex on the Beach (Football) ‘Kane scores for England’ is something we’ve heard many times but perhaps in some other universe out there it’s actually Ashley CAIN who’s going to help football come home one day. The Ex on the Beach favourite, who refers to himself as ‘BEAST’ on his Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter accounts, signed as a pro at Coventry City in 2008 before having loan spells at Oxford United and Luton Town.

Laura Crane – Love Island (Surfing) Love Island beauty Laura Crane had an exciting career as a surfer back in the day, however, since being on last year’s series of the ITV show her career on the waves has taken a back seat despite competing at a national level through most of her teenage years. Her modelling career has really soared since Love Island but all that nearly came crashing down when it was revealed in November 2018 that Laura was rushed to A&E after contracting sepsis, spending ten days in hospital.
